For the TORMAX division, we are looking for an experienced and analytically minded individual in Research and Development as
Embedded Software Engineer (m/f)
Your tasks
- Development and modification of complex firmware for microcontrollers in embedded systems (including specifications, architecture, design, implementation, testing, documentation)
- Analysis of system interrelationships as well as concept implementation taking into account functional safety
- Management of subprojects in the firmware area
- Support of the project manager in planning, execution and coordination in the firmware department
- Support of electronics and mechanical development
- Evaluation and introduction of the latest technologies, methods and development tools
- Support of product support, production, product management and sales in technical matters
- Collaboration with external certification bodies
Your qualifications
- University degree (M.Sc. ETH/TU) with a focus on electrical engineering or firmware engineering or equivalent
- Several years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems (C, C++), taking into account functional safety
- Experience in firmware development for motor controllers
- Good knowledge of data communication (fieldbuses)
- Experience in agile software development, mechatronics and drive technology as well as in the development of electronic circuits
- Conceptual and analytical thinking skills at system level
- Enjoyment of a broad range of tasks and activities
- Independent, reliable, structured and goal-oriented working style
- Good German and English skills, both spoken and written
