About the job
Your Tasks
- As part of our tourism team, you are involved in the further development of our thematic priorities and strengthen our network in science and practice.
- You acquire, lead, and process third-party funded research and service projects, thereby contributing to the further profiling of the institute.
- To ensure that our developments in science and practice have an impact, you publish in scientific journals and practice-oriented magazines.
- You develop courses and teach in initial and continuing education. In doing so, you maintain close contact with students and continuing education participants and supervise their work.
- There is the possibility to take over the management of the Bachelor program "International Sustainable Tourism" in cooperation with UN Tourism (due to the upcoming retirement of the current program director).
Your Profile
- You have expertise in the field of tourism, ideally with a focus on destination management, as well as a university degree.
- Several years of professional experience outside of universities distinguish you.
- You like to take responsibility and leadership tasks in research, service, and teaching.
- You have proven success in acquiring research and/or service projects.
- Your methodological-didactic skills and your teaching experience at the tertiary education level facilitate your entry (but are not mandatory).
- You have a secure command of German in spoken and written form (ideally at native speaker level) and very good English skills.
