Medical Secretary for the Women-Mother-Child Department
The Women-Mother-Child Department is seeking a medical secretary at an 80%-100% activity rate from 1 September 2026 to provide administrative support to the medical and nursing team of the Fertility Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology Unit.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) brings together the Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Paediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work within this department. We care for women throughout their lives in gynaecological, obstetrical, and psychosocial aspects, as well as children from birth to adolescence.
Mission
- You ensure the production and flow of medical documents and information internally and externally
- You efficiently manage the organisation of consultations for the Fertility Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology Unit as well as the Andrology Laboratory
- You provide reception, information, and guidance to patients
- You support the interdisciplinary team of the Unit in its administrative and clinical activities
- You actively contribute to the quality, development, and improvement of the Unit’s services.
Profile
- You hold a medical secretary qualification and/or a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent recognised title
- You have at least 2 years of successful experience in the medical field
- You have excellent French spelling skills and knowledge of the healthcare system
- You possess very good knowledge of medical terminology
- You are a versatile, organised, and autonomous person
- Your collaborative spirit, interpersonal skills, and priority management enable you to follow and manage several files simultaneously
- You are able to cope with a sustained workload and work in a multidisciplinary team
- You are comfortable with MS Office software and ideally with CHUV IT tools (Axya, Ultragenda, Medex, Soarian, and Archimède).
