Make a difference – as a Shunting Service Specialist (day work)

To strengthen our shunting team in Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for a dedicated, reliable individual. If you have experience in shunting service, work precisely, and value teamwork, you are exactly right with us. Together, we ensure that our goods flows run smoothly on track.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Timely delivery and collection of railway wagons at the respective transshipment stations
• Distributing and assembling train compositions
• Recording incoming and outgoing weighings
• Independent coordination with internal contacts such as production, forwarding, and dispatch to ensure timely shipments
• Willingness for on-call duty to ensure continuous supply of operational areas
• Coordination and collaboration with various interfaces such as operations, forwarding, train service, and internal logistics

Qualifications and experience:

• Completed training as a railway worker in operational service (specialising in locomotive driver and transport) or comparable qualification through internal training at railway companies
• Valid shunting licence category Ai40 (advantageous)
• Licence category A40 advantageous (or willingness to acquire this qualification)
• Good knowledge of common Office applications (e.g. Excel, Outlook)
• Organisational talent as well as a structured and reliable working method
• Good physical condition
• High flexibility, teamwork skills, and pronounced initiative
