The Office for Economy and Labour of the Canton of Solothurn provides a variety of services in the areas of regional employment centres, public unemployment insurance, working conditions, energy and climate, as well as location promotion. For the Services Department, we are looking for a Team Leader Finance and Controlling, 80-100% at the Solothurn location from 01.11.2026 or by agreement.
Your responsibilities
- You will lead a well-coordinated team of six in terms of personnel, expertise, and organisation.
- You are responsible for finance, controlling, budgeting, and financial planning in various funded areas, taking into account legal requirements and ensuring economical use of resources in canton-, federal- and mixed-funded areas.
- Your tasks also include advising the office and department management on financial and business management issues, as well as preparing sound decision-making bases, analyses, economic forecasts, and periodic reports.
- Together with your team, you will further develop the leadership and controlling instruments of the AWA, especially in the areas of resource planning, key figures and statistics, cost-effectiveness and cost analyses, as well as the internal control system (ICS).
- You will deputise for the Head of Services and participate in overarching projects and working groups.
Your profile
- You have a tertiary-level degree in business administration, accounting/controlling, or an equivalent qualification.
- As a strong leader, experienced in change, and motivating personality, you bring a high level of appreciation and several years of leadership experience.
- You can demonstrate several years of professional experience in finance and accounting / budgeting and planning processes / financial analyses and reporting.
- Furthermore, you possess knowledge of administrative accounting as well as Swiss accounting standards and the financial budget ordinance.
- Very good user knowledge of the financial application SAP (FI and CO) and MS Office complete your professional profile.
