About the job
As Head of the Visual Communication Unit, you tell the stories of the Bern Cantonal Police through images. Together with your team, you develop creative and impactful content and shape the visual presence of the Bern Cantonal Police across all relevant channels.
Your Responsibilities
- Professional and personnel leadership as well as further development of the Visual Communication team
- Conceptualisation, planning and implementation of video, photo and other audiovisual projects as well as development and realisation of innovative visual formats for various channels, including social media
- Advancing visual communication by combining proven approaches with new, creative and experimental media forms
- Close collaboration within the Communication Newsroom and with various departments to ensure a consistent and contemporary visual appearance
- Monitoring and analysing current trends and developments in visual communication
Your Profile
- Completed studies or training in media design, communication design, visual communication or a comparable field combined with several years of professional experience in visual communication with a focus on video production and/or photography
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with several years of experience
- Creative thinking as well as the ability to successfully implement both high-quality productions and agile formats for digital channels – with a confident sense for visual design, storytelling and brand management
- Sound knowledge of current social media platforms and their requirements and effects in the field of visual communication, combined with a spirit of innovation and willingness to explore new paths and actively shape change
- Ability to think operationally and conceptually and to implement projects efficiently
