Cyber security is constantly evolving – and so are the requirements for detection, automation and technical defence. This position is aimed at IT specialists who enjoy deep analysis, technically advancing security platforms and making recurring processes more efficient through intelligent automation.
Responsibilities:
Development, testing and optimisation of detection rules and security use cases
Analysis of log data, events and telemetry to identify suspicious patterns
Development of automated workflows for alerting, triage and incident response
Creation and optimisation of security playbooks for standardised investigations
Automation of manual analysis and provisioning processes using PowerShell, Python or comparable tools
Development of structured queries for security data platforms
Investigation of false alarms and continuous improvement of detection quality
Conducting technical security assessments and vulnerability evaluations
Analysis of misconfigurations, permission models and potential security risks
Planning and technical implementation of security projects in on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments
Integration and configuration of modern security components
Operation and troubleshooting of a central security platform
Analysis of data, integration and processing issues within the security infrastructure
Collaboration with software and platform engineering to optimise interfaces and security functions
Development of technical standards, runbooks and reusable security components
Use of current threat intelligence to further develop detection and response mechanisms
Technical consulting of customers in securing modern IT environments
Qualifications:
Technical education or comparable qualification in computer science, system engineering or cyber security
Professional experience in IT engineering, security operations, cloud security or a related technical field
Solid knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365
Understanding of networks, authentication, authorisation and modern IT infrastructures
Initial to advanced experience with security monitoring, endpoint protection, SIEM or security assessments
Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel or Defender XDR is a plus
Experience with KQL, PowerShell or Python
Interest in detection engineering, security automation and threat hunting
Enjoyment of complex troubleshooting and technical experiments
Structured working style and strong sense of responsibility
Willingness to independently evaluate and productively use new security technologies
