About the job
Those who join us get more out of life! Look forward to a varied and challenging range of tasks in a future-oriented company.
For our rail production, we are looking for an organised, responsible and solution-oriented individual. You enjoy planning, coordinating and collaborating with different stakeholders. Even when operations become dynamic, you keep an overview, set the right priorities and find pragmatic solutions. With your structured way of working, you make an important contribution to ensuring our trains run reliably, safely and customer-focused.
Your tasks
- You plan and schedule the deployment of locomotive personnel as well as the staff of the traffic control centre, thereby ensuring the personnel basis for stable rail operations.
- You create deployment plans over various time horizons – from daily to monthly to annual planning – and contribute to the development of roster plans.
- You ensure that legal, operational and corporate requirements are met, balancing operational demands with employee needs.
- You support operational disruption management and provide quick and viable solutions in case of short-notice absences, disruptions or operational changes.
- You continuously adjust personnel deployment planning to construction sites, timetable changes, operational events and other requirements of rail production.
- You manage auxiliary documents and planning tools, maintain system data and assist in creating instruction and deployment programmes.
- You prepare evaluations, statistics and billing bases, thereby making an important contribution to operational management.
- You contribute to building an integrated resource planning system. The goal is to better integrate the planning of personnel, vehicles, track slots and other operational resources and to think along the entire rail production process from a single source.
- You are willing to work irregular shifts or in shift work.
Your competencies
- You have a strong interest in planning, organisation and scheduling and feel comfortable in a dynamic operational environment.
- You have good IT and Office skills and enjoy working with digital planning systems.
- Experience with Trapeze or a comparable planning system is an advantage.
- Ideally, you bring experience from a transport, rail or traffic company and understand the requirements of reliable operations.
- You communicate clearly, enjoy working in a team and approach different stakeholders openly.
- Even in hectic situations, you remain calm, act prudently and find pragmatic solutions.
- You think analytically, work in a structured and precise manner and can balance different interests of operations, costs and employees.
- You enjoy thinking holistically about resources along rail production and actively shaping planning processes.
