About the job

The school in small groups (KGS) is a municipal day special school. The KGS is an offer for primary school children with learning and behavioral difficulties. The children are normally gifted but need a small, clearly structured framework for their learning and socio-emotional development. Whenever possible, the children are reintegrated into regular school. Due to a change of position, we are looking for a Special Needs Educator as a class teacher at 95% or two teachers in job sharing with 45%-50% each starting August 1, 2026. Your main tasks • Class management and teaching in a small class with a maximum of seven children • Teaching subjects of the primary level according to Curriculum 21 (MA, DE, NMG, BS, BG, TTG, RKE, English) • Individualized teaching according to support planning • Collaboration with professionals from social pedagogy and therapy • Teaching days: Monday to Friday. You bring • EDK-recognized teaching diploma (kindergarten or primary level) • Additional training in special needs education or planned Master’s program at HfH • Experience and commitment in professional handling of students with special support needs • Experience and interest in age-mixed, individualized teaching • Initiative, teamwork skills, humor • High flexibility and good self-organization. The workload can be extended with specialist teaching in media and computer science if interested. Depending on the constellation, an increase in employment level of 4-7% is possible.
