Senior System Engineer - Citrix
Your Tasks
- Further development and optimisation of the Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops platform as well as active participation in shaping the architecture and technical roadmap
- Analysis and sustainable resolution of complex faults and performance issues in a 3rd-level support environment
- Participation in infrastructure and modernisation projects around the workplace and virtualisation landscape
- Evaluation of new technologies, creation of technical concepts and architectures, and execution of proof-of-concepts
- Automation of operational and administrative processes using PowerShell
- Identification of optimisation potentials as well as independent planning and implementation of technical improvements
- Support and further development of hybrid workplace solutions focusing on Citrix and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Close collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, security, and workplace teams to ensure a stable and modern workplace environment
- Assuming technical responsibility for the operation, further development, and future viability of the Citrix platform
Your Profile
- Several years of practical experience in engineering and operating Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environments
- Experience with or strong interest in Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Excellent PowerShell skills at senior level as well as experience in automating infrastructure and operational processes
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, and virtualisation technologies
- Experience in analysing and resolving complex technical faults in 3rd-level support
- Strong conceptual skills as well as experience in creating technical designs and solution architectures
- Structured, sustainable, and quality-oriented working style
- Team-oriented, communicative, and hands-on personality with high initiative
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Citrix certifications (CCA, CCP or CCE) are advantageous
