Our church community Obfelden is lively, familiar and open to new things – here we shape church together in the middle of the village and close to the people. Committed volunteers, a versatile community and plenty of room for your own ideas are waiting for you. In a beautiful environment between Zurich and Zug, you can joyfully and energetically help shape church today and tomorrow.

Our church community with around 1,500 members is lively, familiar, approachable and supported by the church council as well as many committed volunteers. Together we want to be church – in the middle of the village, close to the people and open to new ideas. 

With us, you have room to shape: a community that wants to be active with you, that seeks dialogue and wants to build a future-proof, lively church together – independent and approachable instead of anonymous and large. Obfelden is a rural but well-connected village in the Zurich-Zug metropolitan area, with good infrastructure, schools and an active club life. 

In the historic parsonage, a spacious, renovated 4.5-room apartment awaits you. Taking up residence in the village is not mandatory. Our church, the parish house and the public parsonage garden with the „Asterix House“ for the little ones offer space for services, encounters, celebrations and also for your own ideas. 

The position is advertised with an 80% workload and can be shared. The start date is by arrangement.
