You bring several years of experience in professional software development and want to do more than just develop software. You take on technical responsibility, focus on clean code, modern development standards, and sustainable solutions. AI-supported software development is a matter of course for you and an integral part of your daily work. High software quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction are our central measures.

In our newly established Data & AI team, you are responsible for the conception, development, integration, and further development of modern software solutions and AI services. Together with our data scientists as well as development, product, and specialist teams, you transform requirements and prototypes into stable, secure, and scalable applications. You accompany solutions throughout the entire software lifecycle, from technical conception through implementation, testing, and deployment to productive operation. In doing so, you actively contribute to architectural decisions, drive automation and quality assurance forward, and share your knowledge within the team. As a technical key figure, you develop our software solutions thoroughly, practically, and with a focus on quality.

What to expect

• Development and further development of modern backend solutions, APIs, and AI services
• Development and integration of data-driven AI solutions as well as deployment of machine learning models
• Transformation of requirements and AI prototypes into secure, scalable, and production-ready applications
• Responsibility for implementation, testing, deployment, and operation
• Ensuring high software quality through clean code, test automation, and code reviews
• Further development of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and DevOps processes
• Use of modern AI tools as well as co-design of technical standards and architectures
• Close collaboration with data scientists as well as development, product, and specialist teams

We expect from you

• Solid computer science education (HF, FH, university or equivalent)
• Several years of experience in backend development with very good Java skills as well as solid knowledge of modern frameworks, APIs, and scalable software solutions
• Very good knowledge of clean code, test automation, code reviews, DevOps, and CI/CD
• Experience with container technologies, Kubernetes, cloud platforms as well as monitoring and error analysis
• Good understanding of modern software and integration architectures
• Several years of experience in AI-supported software development – from the safe use of modern coding assistants and prompt engineering through quality-critical review of generated results to the integration of AI services and machine learning models into productive software solutions
• High initiative, strong sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of practical software development
• German language skills at least at B2 level
