About the job
Lantal is a Swiss family business headquartered in Langenthal with additional locations worldwide. Around 500 Lantal employees passionately work on the development, design, and manufacture of high-quality textiles and services for the aviation and ground transportation sectors.
Are you keen to bring innovations in aviation to take-off and lead the red thread from the first idea to series production?
THIS IS YOUR JOB:
You give demanding development, optimisation, and industrialisation projects the necessary boost. From the first idea through laboratory and production trials to successful implementation, you keep schedules, resources, budget, quality, and risks on track. You set clear milestones and bring internal departments, development partners, and customers together. Together, you develop innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions for the aviation industry. You define formulation, product, and process parameters, ensure quality with targeted tests, and transfer new solutions into series production. You never lose track during technical change management and documentation in the PLM system. At the same time, you keep an eye out for new materials, processes, and regulatory developments – boldly bringing fresh ideas into motion.
THIS IS WHAT YOU BRING:
Your professional foundation is a degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, materials science, or a comparable technical or scientific field. This is complemented by several years of experience in leading development or industrialisation projects as well as solid project management know-how. You are familiar with chemical formulations, raw materials, functional additives, and textile finishes. You apply methods such as Design of Experiments, FMEA, root cause analysis, and risk assessment purposefully; knowledge of REACH, CLP, and safety data sheets is a plus.
You think in networks, work independently and carefully, and make complex contexts understandable. With decisiveness, team spirit, and initiative, you advance projects and people. Very good German and English skills as well as willingness to travel for projects domestically and abroad complete your profile.
THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
We live a "du" culture and an open, respectful interaction at eye level. Our family-like working environment is characterised by appreciation, trust, and a lived culture of learning from mistakes. With pioneering spirit, we question the status quo and dare to try new things, thus connecting tradition and future. Look forward to six weeks of holiday, compensation for pre-holiday days between Christmas & New Year, as well as the option to buy five additional holiday days annually. Thanks to our own employee pension fund, you benefit from an above-average interest rate on retirement savings – consistently above the statutory minimum rate in recent years – and from insurance covering your total salary.
We are ready – are you? Let’s take off together!
