The position is attached to the Operations Department (DEX). This department's mission is to ensure the stewardship and logistics necessary for the smooth running of all HUG facilities. It encompasses hospital logistics activities such as catering, cleaning and disinfection of premises, laundry hygiene, and transportation. It also manages the sterilization service, biomedical service and equipment, as well as Cressy-Santé. More than 1,350 professionals carry out their missions daily with constant attention to quality, a sense of service, and environmental responsibility.
Within the management of the Operations Department, the Organization and Performance unit brings together multidisciplinary skills attentive to and serving the services that make up the department. This unit operates notably in areas such as operational performance, project management, quality, and risk management. It now needs to acquire additional DATA-oriented skills.
Job description
As part of your duties, you support the Operations Department (DEX) in developing data exploitation, in partnership with the Digital Transformation and Augmented Intelligence Directorate (DTNIA). You represent business needs to the DTNIA and align your actions with institutional objectives as well as the department's modernization dynamics. You are the DEX reference person for data topics and a driving force in guiding work and priorities.
You respond to immediate data analysis needs and support services in expressing and formalizing their requests. You advise teams on the relevance of measures, indicators, and monitoring methods, with a spirit of efficiency and activity valorization. You participate in structuring and managing business data and develop effective dashboards aligned both with operational needs and visual and analytical quality standards.
You collaborate closely with people handling data in the department and support them in carrying out their missions. You conduct actions with them that have a direct impact on their data activities and work in coordination with DTNIA contacts. You actively participate in the HUG data community, share your expertise, and contribute to the continuous improvement of practices within the institutional network.
You collect and analyze the needs of services and DEX management, both operationally and strategically, in connection with data collection, structuring, and exploitation. You evaluate existing processes, skills, and tools within the department and establish an overview of data governance. Based on this, you produce a detailed report and make recommendations aligned with the department's 2026–2030 roadmap.
You anticipate and understand IT developments. You have proven experience in database management and regularly use tools such as SQL. You master dashboard construction with QlikSense or equivalent solutions. You evaluate solutions and approaches to improve the department's data exploitation and advise services on the most relevant technical and methodological choices.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent diploma.
You have at least 5 years of experience in data management, reporting, and analysis, notably in the industry and services sectors.
You are able to manage projects independently and demonstrate functional analysis skills.
Curious by nature, you enjoy discovering and adapting to varied professions. You are capable of working effectively in a team while combining technical and business aspects. You show an interest in the hospital world.
