Uster, the third largest city in the canton of Zurich, with around 38,000 inhabitants, is a dynamically growing city in the Zurich metropolitan area and known as an innovative regional centre.
The Finance Department is one of seven departments of the city administration. It comprises the two business areas of Finance and Real Estate and employs around 140 staff.
The Real Estate business area is looking for a proactive and initiative person as of 1 November 2026 or by arrangement for the position of
Construction Project Manager 80 - 90%
Your main tasks
- Responsible for client-side project management of the municipal property portfolio
- Implementation of construction projects with the goal "Net Zero by 2040" in conjunction with photovoltaic systems
- Comprehensive project management from planning to execution and commissioning
- Preparation of decision-making bases for the city and municipal council as well as primary school board
- Financial and budget responsibility including controlling of the assigned construction projects
- Evaluation, coordination and management of external specialists and planners
- Proactive collaboration with all internal and external project participants such as users, planners, authorities, offices and third parties
What you bring
- (Technical) university degree as an architect ETH or FH
- Further training or proven expertise with experience in project management
- Experience as a client representative in the public sector or an institutional client is an advantage
- Winning and team-oriented personality with a high degree of initiative and assertiveness
- Fluency in written and spoken expression as well as negotiation skills
