Health and Safety Officer (m/f/d), 100%
Your tasks
As the central contact person for health and occupational safety, you work closely with internal teams, managers and external bodies such as the labour inspectorate or SUVA. You bring in your expertise to identify risks early, assess them thoroughly and implement targeted measures sustainably.
A key focus is on the further development of our safety culture: Together with the managers, you strengthen awareness of safe behaviour in everyday work and ensure that standards are not only met but continuously improved. You confidently accompany audits and safety inspections and use the insights to optimise processes and structures in a targeted manner.
Furthermore, you ensure that all legal requirements are met and actively maintain communication with relevant specialist bodies. In this context, you are also responsible for reporting to the relevant specialist committees and regularly participate in professional exchanges, for example at annual meetings or experience exchange groups. You also take responsibility within the emergency organisation and contribute to ensuring clear and reliable procedures.
Your activities are rounded off by maintaining relevant documentation and co-responsibility for the safety and functionality of our technical infrastructure at our location. In close coordination with internal and external partners, you also coordinate and accompany maintenance work and ensure smooth operations.
Your profile
- Completed technical or commercial training with specific further education in occupational safety and health protection
- Several years of solid professional experience in health & safety roles (including overall responsibility) in an operational environment (preferably in industrial, logistics or trading companies) in companies with at least 250 employees
- Very good knowledge of legal requirements and regulatory provisions (especially SUVA and ISO 45001)
- Proven experience in conducting audits, risk analyses and implementing sustainable safety measures across multiple locations with measurable results
- Demonstrable experience in successfully obtaining/renewing health & safety certifications
- Experience in establishing health & safety KPI reporting, visual management, daily management, etc.
- Experience in training employees in all health & safety matters
- Experience in planning, organising and coordinating emergency measures
- Assertive, convincing personality with confident appearance at all hierarchical levels
- Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with specialist committees, authorities or external partners
- High degree of personal responsibility, resilience and the ability to proactively drive topics forward and implement them sustainably
- Strong service and quality orientation as well as absolute reliability and discretion
- Good analytical skills
- Very good user knowledge of MS Office
- Fluent German language skills in spoken and written form, French and/or Italian an advantage
