What you can achieve with us
When our staff are sick, have accidents, need to care for their own sick children, or are absent for other reasons at short notice, it is difficult for us to fill this gap in the class or residential team. For this reason, we are building a substitute pool. We are looking for people who are not dependent on a regular income but can step in spontaneously when needed. For example, we address retirees who are looking for a varied and meaningful task, or people after a family break whose children are older and who want to re-enter the workforce. To get to know the activities and build a relationship with the children and young people, we will introduce you for 3 consecutive weeks. Afterwards, assignments are made by mutual agreement. You can refuse at any time without reason if you already have other plans.
As a substitute, you individually accompany blind or visually impaired students or those on the autism spectrum. You implement the support plan and teaching according to the teacher's instructions and assist with daily organization. You promote, support, and accompany the students during school and their leisure time.
What you bring with you
You have experience in accompanying children and young people with disabilities, especially on the autism spectrum. Besides your interest in the topic of the autism spectrum, you are motivated to engage with other disabilities. Ideally, you have a degree as a social pedagogue or a comparable qualification. You can approach challenges, such as those presented by students on the autism spectrum, with the necessary professionalism and calm. With your open and constructive manner, you contribute greatly to a good team atmosphere.
