Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Sales in more than 70 countries are conducted through their own local sales companies and representatives.
Role:
As a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer, you ensure that the local and hybrid IT infrastructure runs reliably and continuously evolves. Availability, security, and performance are at the heart of your daily work. You confidently navigate between the classic Windows server environment and modern cloud services. You accompany infrastructure projects and technical migrations from planning to handover to regular operation. An international environment with exciting technical challenges awaits you.
Responsibilities:
You operate and monitor the local and hybrid IT infrastructure with a focus on availability, capacity, and lifecycle management
You administer Microsoft Exchange and hybrid messaging services, including mail flow, email authentication, and troubleshooting
You further develop VMware vSphere/ESXi, Windows application servers as well as storage and backup services
You are responsible for the local Active Directory with group policies, DNS, DHCP as well as hybrid identity synchronization with Microsoft Entra ID
You plan and carry out patch and update management and provide 2nd and 3rd level support for incidents and changes
Additionally, you take responsibility in infrastructure projects, from analysis through implementation to technical documentation
Qualifications:
You have a higher education qualification in information technology or a comparable qualification with relevant practical experience
Several years of experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Entra Connect distinguish you
You possess sound knowledge of VMware vSphere/ESXi, virtual server environments, and patch management
Good knowledge of mail flow and email authentication, especially SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, rounds off your profile
You bring experience with incident, change, and root cause processes as well as initial automation with PowerShell
Furthermore, you convince with service orientation, an independent working style, and very good German and English skills
