Unit secretary at the Palliative and Supportive Care Service
Attached to the Department of Medicine, the Palliative and Supportive Care Service, located at the Nestlé Hospital, is looking for a unit secretary at a 60% rate, on a fixed-term contract, starting March 1, 2026, or a date to be agreed upon, for the motor neuron center secretariat and for the extrahospital mobile team secretariat.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Attached to the Department of Medicine, the Palliative and Supportive Care Service is responsible for all medical treatments, physical care, psychological, social, and spiritual support intended for patients suffering from a progressive incurable condition.
The motor neuron center project aims to create a Motor Neuron Disease Reference Center in the canton of Vaud to offer patients, particularly those with ALS, specialized, coordinated, and humane care, while establishing the French-speaking region as a center of clinical and scientific excellence. This project requires the support of a secretary to organize and manage schedules.

Mission
- Ensure the administration of the motor neuron center project (organize meetings, take minutes, manage the referring physician's schedule)
- Conceptualize and document administrative support procedures for the extrahospital mobile team (propose improvements to existing processes and document them)
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification
- You have excellent organizational skills
- You have excellent analytical skills and are comfortable understanding and optimizing organizational processes
- You have perfect mastery of Excel
- You have perfect mastery of French and excellent interpersonal skills
- Autonomous, rigorous, precise, and reliable, you demonstrate discretion
- You have several years of experience in a complex and demanding secretariat, ideally in a hospital environment, which would be an asset.
