General Secretariat
Project Coordinator: Construction & Logistics (limited to 3 years) 80 - 100%
Are you looking for a challenge in the field of politics and administration, with an employer whose topics are as diverse as life itself? Would you especially like to help shape the real estate and infrastructure sector? The Planning & Resources (P&R) department of the General Secretariat provides central services within the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs. These include, among other things, coordination of construction, maintenance and rental projects and support with logistics and infrastructure concerns for around 2,400 employees at over 50 locations.
We are looking to complement our Construction and Logistics team immediately or by arrangement with a Project Coordinator (80-100% workload, initially limited to 3 years).
What tasks await you
- As the central contact and coordination point for the JI Directorate, the Construction Directorate and other project participants, you assume the client role according to the tenant model in various projects.
- You advise users in formulating their needs and ensure that the order bases provide a clear project framework and that construction projects are implemented according to the order.
- You are committed to high-quality project execution within the framework of project support and coordination.
- You analyse, specify and document user requirements to ensure the development of necessary planning and decision-making bases.
- The coordination and further development of user-specific real estate needs as well as ensuring the flow of information between relevant actors are part of your tasks, as is the preparation of scenarios, decision bases and recommendations for action.
- Additional tasks include coordinating needs assessments and demand planning, participating in construction investment planning, reviewing space occupancy of organisational units for the real estate office, and coordinating safety-related matters on the floor.
What you bring with you
- Master’s degree (University/ETH/FH/HF) in construction or a related field, as well as experience in managing building or infrastructure projects, preferably in an administrative context
- Extensive experience in handling large and complex construction projects, proven knowledge in building and safety technology, and experience in public or complex organisational structures are advantageous
- Experience or interest in prison buildings and security issues
- Experience in project management, especially in quality, cost and schedule control
- Strong skills in coordination, analysis and documentation as well as in developing and implementing guidelines and processes
- You are a self-organised, reliable and solution-oriented person with strong communication and cooperation skills, focusing on the concerns of users.
We offer
- A demanding and exciting field of work
- An interdisciplinary and diverse collaboration with colleagues
- Working conditions according to cantonal guidelines
- Workplace in the immediate vicinity of Zurich main station
