Network Infrastructure Engineer (Senior) (m/f/d)
Role:
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you take overall responsibility for a business-critical network infrastructure across several business units. A comprehensive network redesign is imminent, and you will play a key role in shaping the target architecture and migration strategy. Technical depth in Network Security meets genuine scope for creativity here. You build internal know-how and thus reduce dependence on external partners.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the operation, monitoring and further development of routers, switches, firewalls and WLAN in a 24/7 environment.
You design and lead a comprehensive network redesign including architecture and migration planning.
Furthermore, you develop security concepts with segmentation, Zero Trust, firewall policies and VPN.
You work closely with the server, client, virtualisation and cloud departments on network-related topics.
Additionally, you maintain network documentation as well as operational and emergency concepts.
You also promote knowledge transfer within the team and participate in occasional on-call duties.
Qualifications:
You have a higher vocational training in the ICT field or a degree in computer science or network technology.
You have several years of professional experience in the network environment, part of which in an architecture or senior role.
You possess practical expertise in network security and are familiar with critical 24/7 infrastructures.
Furthermore, you have good knowledge of network automation.
Related topics such as VMware as well as server and client infrastructure are familiar to you; vendor certifications are a plus.
You communicate confidently in German and are proficient in English.
