Job Description
To strengthen our Calculation-Sales team in the Structural Engineering department (civil engineering structures / bridges / walkways / buildings), we are looking for an estimator (M/F), whose mission will be to estimate and price projects, ensuring the following main tasks:
- Evaluate projects during the acquisition phase, in close collaboration with management
- Calculate quotations
- Propose innovative and customised solutions
- Assess feasibility and design optimisations or variants
- Prepare public tender dossiers
- Conduct supplier tenders, in collaboration with the purchasing department
- Negotiate with clients
Qualifications
To meet this challenge, you are recognised for your social skills and well-developed interpersonal sense, both internally and externally. In this strategic position between the commercial sector and project management, you are able to maintain an overview, taking into account all processes involved in the project (technical execution, materials, production hours, assembly, etc.). You know how to synthesise information and present it clearly and concisely during tender meetings with management. Positively minded, you possess a logical and critical mind and know how to be persuasive to defend your ideas and the company’s interests.
To ensure the technical role of the position, you have the following characteristics:
- You are a specialist in metal structural construction with experience in civil engineering structures.
- You hold a civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- You are proficient with common IT tools, especially Excel.
- You are comfortable with 2D/3D design software (Tekla, BoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, ...).
- You can communicate in French and/or German. Italian is an advantage.
