Your tasks

• Responsibility for the strategic, organisational and operational management and further development of today’s control centre into a modern, technology-supported operations centre
• Personnel and professional leadership of the team consisting of train dispatchers who monitor the entire ongoing train operation and coordinate vehicles, personnel and resources
• Ensuring a stable, safe, efficient and high-quality 24/7 train operation across all modes of transport in the lower and upper Basel region, including professional disruption management
• Creating deployment planning, ensuring the employees’ expertise is always up to date and conducting corresponding training sessions
• Shaping the transformation from a classic control centre to an integrated operations centre as a central hub for all operational processes, safety tasks and future mobility forms
• Optimising control centre processes and system landscape, integrating new safety tasks into the operations centre as well as building and further developing tasks in the area of site monitoring and technical safety monitoring
• Further developing and professionalising crisis and incident management as well as leading or supporting crisis teams
• Active internal and external stakeholder management as well as participating in cross-departmental strategic projects
• Budget and resource responsibility for the control centre area including establishing key figures, reviews and continuous improvement (CIP)
• Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and close cooperation with the operations management team

Your profile

• Solid professional experience in an operational 24/7 environment, for example in a control centre, an operations centre of a public transport company, an emergency services organisation, a security organisation, border guard or similar
• Authentic, convincing leadership personality with several years of leadership experience in a similar role as well as pronounced conceptual and strategic skills
• Advanced vocational training or university degree in business administration, transport operations, mobility, engineering, computer science, safety management or a comparable field
• Proven experience in disruption, incident and emergency management including crisis resilience, decisiveness and high resilience
• Experience in stakeholder management at various hierarchical levels including high social competence
• Willingness to change and ability to involve teams in transformation processes
• High affinity for digitalisation, automation and data-based decision-making processes
• Flawless German language skills as well as appropriate, good communication
