S3 Acute Ward for Older Adults
The acute ward S3 is aimed at people in psychiatric emergency situations who require intensive inpatient treatment due to an acute mental illness. Careful psychiatric and somatic assessment as well as the collection of the personal life history form the basis for all therapies. The entire treatment programme is focused on managing the current crisis and reintegration into the old or newly designed circumstances and includes, in addition to recovery-oriented psychosocial support, alternative treatment interventions such as NADA, phytotherapy and much more.
The ward is usually run as an open ward and implements the Safewards model. We look forward to you contributing your ideas.
Your Tasks
Flexibility and enjoyment of variety are central points. Because that is exactly what working in acute psychiatry means.

- responsibility for nursing development and review of nursing quality on the ward
- participation in specialist working groups and projects
- key worker role: we treat our patients individually according to their needs and maintain contact with relatives
- in addition to individual conversations, group sessions are held, which are also led by nursing staff
- our interprofessional collaboration is a huge strength and distinguishes us. Active participation and contribution are central components of this collaboration.
Your Profile
For this exciting role, you bring a nursing qualification at HF / FH level and professional experience in psychiatric nursing. Professional competence, service orientation and a great deal of humour are the most important qualities you must bring. With these qualities, we achieve the best treatment results for our patients, and the team is pleased that you will become part of it.
