Department: School of Engineering
Start of work: Immediately or by agreement (Application deadline: 10.09.2025)
In the long term, you will be active in both research and teaching as part of the university's multiple performance mandate. In addition, as part of the institute management, you will take responsibility for a thematic focus.
Your tasks include:
- Acquisition and processing of extensive R&D projects including publication activities
- Conducting teaching offerings in basic education and advanced elective subjects
- Supervising R&D staff at all levels
- Further development of the institute's offerings in both R&D and teaching and continuing education
- Technical, personnel, and financial management of your own projects as well as the entire focus area (possibly co-management)
To successfully grow into this inspiring and diverse workplace, you will take on the mentioned core tasks in stages over a longer period of time.
We are looking for an inclusive personality with a university degree preferably in applied mathematics, physics, or an engineering discipline with a doctorate. Furthermore, we expect several years of professional experience in the industry and a corresponding network in the research community. You have specific experience and an excellent track record in multiphysics simulation.
You are an inclusive, open, and flexible personality with strong teamwork skills and a lived dialogue culture. A high level of quality awareness characterizes your work style. With initiative and entrepreneurial thinking, you develop creative and innovative solutions that you implement in applied research. In doing so, you draw on your network, independently write research proposals, and manage projects proactively and results-oriented. You enjoy knowledge transfer in the engineering context as well as working with students.
The appointment as a professor will be made by the university council upon qualification.
