Vice President Group Controlling (f/m/d)
What appeals to you
- You are a sparring partner to the Business Area CFO and analyse and manage the financial performance of the Business Area together with them.
- You are responsible for Financial Performance Controlling and FP&A and actively participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews with the CEO, CFO, Division Presidents, and Division Controllers.
- You review and challenge the monthly financial reporting and ensure the quality and meaningfulness of the figures together with Finance & Accounting as well as the divisional and regional controlling teams.
- You manage the end-to-end process for rolling forecasts, budgets, and medium-term planning, provide clear guardrails to the divisions, and critically question their assumptions and forecasts.
- You prepare decision-relevant analyses, scenarios, and management documents for the CEO, CFO, business reviews, and group-level deep dives.
- You further develop targets, KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards and drive consistent, data-based performance management across the entire Business Area.
- You are responsible for controlling our central functions and shared services, including performance monitoring, cost allocation and optimisation, service levels, and efficiency initiatives.
- You take on the controlling transformation roadmap and further develop processes, governance, reporting, and systems – including in the context of SAP, OneStream, and Power BI.
- You drive digitalisation, automation, and self-service reporting forward and support the organisation in using modern analysis and management tools.
- You accompany selected M&A, carve-out, and integration projects from a finance perspective.
- You develop your direct team as well as the global controlling community professionally and promote a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
What defines you
- University or university of applied sciences degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a comparable field.
- Ideally, an advanced qualification, for example as a certified public accountant, certified expert in accounting and controlling, or a comparable international qualification.
- Several years of experience in financial controlling or FP&A in an international, complex, and divisionally structured company.
- Very good understanding of accounting, IFRS, group reporting, and consolidation mechanics – combined with a strong business performance perspective.
- Experience in managing budget, forecast, and planning processes as well as challenging different business areas.
- Proven experience in finance or controlling transformations and enthusiasm for not only designing but also further developing and implementing processes and systems.
- Confident handling of ERP, EPM, and reporting systems, such as SAP, OneStream, Hyperion, or comparable solutions; experience with BI tools like Power BI is an advantage.
- Analytical strength and the ability to translate complex financial matters into clear management messages.
- Strong communication skills and sufficient gravitas to work on equal footing with the CFO, senior management, as well as divisional and regional controllers.
- A pragmatic, solution-oriented, and hands-on working style with high ownership.
- Fluent German and English skills.
- You are willing to work predominantly at our location in Heerbrugg and see personal collaboration with the team, the CFO, and relevant stakeholders on site as an important part of your role.
