The Birsfelden Community Police is part of the Department of Security & Rescue, which undertakes highly diverse and demanding tasks in the area of emergency services and civil protection organisations.

Community Police Officer (100%, m/f/d)

The focus areas of the Birsfelden Community Police include:

• Community-oriented policing with patrol services and community policing initiatives

• Ensuring peace and order in our community and its recreational areas

• Control of parking spaces within the framework of parking management

• Traffic police duties and control of stationary and moving traffic including

• Speed measurements

• Support for other emergency services and civil protection organisations

Your contribution to peace and order in our community includes:

• Active contact maintenance with the public and businesses through community policing

• Prevention of criminal acts through presence and patrol services

• Telephone and counter service with administrative tasks in close cooperation with the

• administrative staff of the Department of Security & Rescue

• Performing occasional late and weekend shifts as well as being on call for unscheduled deployments

You bring with you:

• Completed federal police training EFZ or border guard with corresponding

• certificate

• Community-oriented and communicative demeanour as well as enjoyment in dealing with people

• Initiative, commitment and flexibility

• Impeccable reputation as well as high social competence, teamwork skills and resilience

• Skillfulness in using common IT programmes and the relevant police applications. Experience in speed control is an advantage but not a requirement

• Willingness to assume the deputy role of the community police team leader
