The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds.
The organisation effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and local hospital service, regardless of where the services are required.
Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relationships, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
The EOC Anaesthesia services care for over 20,000 patients annually in the operating theatre, as well as providing assistance for various interventional and diagnostic procedures outside the operating theatre.

at the EOC Anaesthesia Training Centre - locations Regional Hospital of Lugano and Regional Hospital of Bellinzona and Valli
Profile:
The Anaesthesia services of the Regional Hospital of Lugano (ORL) and the Regional Hospital of Bellinzona and Valli (ORBV) are the site of the joint EOC training centre in Anaesthesiology.
By rotating between the two services in an organised manner, Assistant Doctors in Anaesthesia have the opportunity to train and gain experience in all domains of Anaesthesiology (except for Cardioanaesthesia alone) and in Pain Therapy.
The Training Centre also allows training in Out-of-Hospital Emergency Medicine, with the achievement of the related SGNOR certified diploma, attainable during the employment period.
The training curriculum, individualised according to the needs of the Assistant Doctor, is defined at the beginning of the course, with the signing of the individual training contract. This provides for an initial consecutive period carried out at one of the two locations, aimed at creating and consolidating a technical and theoretical base of knowledge, followed by periods of structured rotation between the two locations, aimed at acquiring specialist knowledge and experience.
The profile we are looking for is that of a highly motivated, collaborative, professional, serious, reliable, respectful, precise, flexible colleague, willing to carry out part of their training within the Training Centre at a different location from the starting one, willing to provide service also in a medical car, within the planned coverage of the Cardiomobile Service. Essential requirements:
- degree/diploma in medicine or equivalent qualification and related registration with MedReg; for doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg before starting work is mandatory
- proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2) with related registration with MedReg before starting work
- 1 year of internal medicine experience in a recognised centre.
Hiring procedure
