The Position: We are seeking a full-time qualified, professional educator with a successful track record teaching Spanish as a second language or to native speakers in grades 6 to 12. In our grade 6-12 program we have students that range from complete beginners to fluent speakers who will be preparing for success on external exams in their final years (Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Diploma). An ideal candidate will be flexible and excited to cooperate with a team of dynamic, professional World Languages teachers to plan, deliver, and assess student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. They will hold high expectations for students and will be comfortable differentiating content and instruction in all courses. Applicants with experience working with learners with English as an Additional Language, and who can contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program will be preferred.
Teacher applicants should have at least 2-3 years of previous teaching experience, preferably at an international school. Applicants must furnish evidence of:
Teaching license including specialism
Documented record of excellence in teaching
BA / BSC or equivalent university degree
Understanding of best practice for teaching and supporting student success for students from 10-19 years old.
Understanding of concept based curriculum and instruction
Learner-centered focus
