At the Grosshof transit center, we professionally accompany unaccompanied minor refugees and families through a sensitive phase of life. You can expect a responsible role in a structured environment with clear processes and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Your tasks
- You provide social pedagogical as well as psychosocial counseling and care for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers.
- You conduct initial interviews with refugees and support them in all aspects of daily life as well as in social, school, and professional integration.
- You develop needs-based daily structures and offers and organize leisure activities with the youth, involving them in everyday tasks such as cooking and housekeeping.
- In case of violations of house rules or crisis and conflict situations as well as emergencies, you intervene confidently and take the necessary measures prudently.
- You are responsible for case-related record keeping and prepare reports according to internal guidelines; furthermore, you maintain close cooperation with schools, mandate holders, authorities, etc.
Your profile
- You have a degree in social pedagogy (FH/HF) and ideally several years of experience in residential or open youth work (preferably in an intercultural environment).
- You have good German language skills in spoken and written form; knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage.
- You show flexibility and are willing to work shifts, including weekends.
- You work independently, can assert yourself, and remain calm in challenging situations.
- A category B driving license is an advantage.
