About the job
STL Systems AG develops specialised measurement technologies for underwater, land, and aviation applications. Our core competencies include the precise generation, measurement, and analysis of magnetic fields, electric fields, and other signature parameters.
Our magnetic systems, sensors, and measurement solutions are used both in the defence sector and in civil industry – including for degaussing, deperming, and the measurement of magnetic signatures.
To strengthen our team and further develop these markets, we are seeking a technically skilled sales professional who understands customer requirements, builds long-term relationships, and successfully closes business opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
- You acquire new customers in civil industry and the defence sector and further develop existing customer relationships.
- You capture the requirements of our customers and work together with our development team to create suitable technical solutions.
- You manage the sales process from initial contact through technical discussions and offers to negotiation and contract conclusion.
- You prepare technical and commercial offers in close collaboration with our development and project teams. You build relationships with industrial customers, defence organisations, and relevant partners.
- You represent STL Systems at customer meetings, trade fairs, and specialist events. You monitor market developments and incorporate customer feedback into product and business development.
- You maintain a structured sales pipeline and contribute to sales planning and revenue forecasting.
Your Profile
- You have a technical background in electrical engineering, physics, engineering sciences, or a related field – through education, studies, or practical experience.
- You have experience in technical sales, business development, or a technical role with direct customer contact, ideally with complex systems, sensors, or measurement technologies.
- Applications from individuals with a military background and relevant technical experience or procurement experience are also welcome.
- You have good German and English skills, both spoken and written. You understand complex technical requirements and can communicate solutions clearly.
- You think entrepreneurially, negotiate confidently, and actively develop business opportunities. You work in a structured and independent manner and gladly take on responsibility.
- You are willing to travel for customer appointments and trade fairs, approximately 10% of the time.
- Experience with customers in the defence sector, naval applications, or magnetic sensor and measurement technologies is an advantage.
What Awaits You
- A varied role at the interface of technology, customer service, and business development.
- Direct collaboration with experienced engineers and short decision-making paths.
- The opportunity to help shape our sales activities in civil and military markets.
- A small, dedicated team of around 20 employees where your contribution visibly makes a difference.
