Tasks
Educational-therapeutic support: You are part of a team of speech therapy professionals and responsible for the assessment and therapy of preschool children with difficulties in language development.
Needs- and solution-oriented work: You work both on the premises of the CFE and provide advisory support in the child’s living environment (e.g. family, daycare/playgroup or home). You support parents, guardians and professionals regarding the child’s needs.
Being networked: You are part of a motivated, interprofessional team and work closely with other professionals internally and externally, taking on case management.
Profile
Experience: Ideally, you bring practical experience in speech therapy work with preschool children. You appreciate working with people from different cultures and linguistic backgrounds.
Personality: You are used to working independently and results-oriented. You are communicative, flexible, a team player and enjoy engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration.
Education: You hold a bachelor’s degree in speech therapy. Ideally, you also have experience in early intervention.

The Youth, Family and Sport division of the Department of Education Basel-Stadt covers a wide range of topics around childcare, child and youth welfare, early intervention and sport. It informs and supports children, young people and those involved in upbringing and advocates for high-quality public and private services. Promoting grassroots sport and physical activity, both in clubs and privately, is also a central task.
