Certified nursing assistants for Maternity
The Women-Mother-Child Department is looking for two certified nursing assistants for the CHUV Maternity, at 70% and 100%.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) includes the Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Paediatrics and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work within this department. We care for women throughout their lives in gynaecological, obstetrical and psychosocial aspects, as well as children from birth to adolescence.
More than 200 midwives - male midwives work in our level 3 maternity ward, which handles over 3,200 births per year.
Mission
The certified nursing assistant, under the responsibility and delegation of the nursing staff, performs the following tasks:
- participates in welcoming patients and partners
- ensures the maintenance, cleaning and disinfection of care equipment and the immediate environment of patients
- participates in care, support and assistance in daily activities within their unit
- observes patients and communicates information regarding the evolution of their condition
- participates in accident prevention actions
- contributes to improving the quality and efficiency of care
- collaborates with other units.
Profile
- You hold a nursing assistant diploma; a childcare auxiliary diploma is an asset
- You are a dynamic, committed, autonomous, flexible, motivated person with a sense of responsibility
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, a good team spirit and adaptability
- You are stress-resistant and have good priority management
- You demonstrate excellent command of the French language.
Depending on profile, the salary scale will be between levels 4 and 5.
