As Global Head of Release Management in the Fire Safety Portfolio Unit, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring that our product and solution portfolio is released predictably, reliably, and with the highest quality across regions and product lines. Operating at portfolio level, you will coordinate release planning and readiness, manage cross‑product‑line dependencies, and ensure transparency and governance across global deliveries within Smart Infrastructure Buildings. As part of the Fire Safety Portfolio leadership team, you will work closely with the Head of Global Portfolio Strategy, Head of Global Architecture, and Head of Portfolio Execution Management / Product Development.

Location: this role will be based in Zug/Switzerland. Please note that qualified candidates need to be legally eligible for work authorization in Switzerland.
Your newresponsibilities:
- Own portfolio-level release planning, readiness, and cross-region, cross-product-line delivery governance
- Ensure release readiness across product lines with respect to quality, cybersecurity, sustainability, regulatory, and documentation requirements
- Synchronize release scope, content, and timelines across product lines and regions
- Govern lean‑agile release processes at portfolio level based on the Siemens agile framework to ensure strong development productivity
- Identify, manage, and mitigate cross-product-line dependencies, risks, and impediments impacting delivery commitments
- Drive alignment between Product Lines, Product Development, Quality, and Architecture to enable predictable releases
- Provide transparent reporting on release status, risks, readiness, and key performance indicators to portfolio and business stakeholders
- Coordinate portfolio-level go-live activities and ensure consistent execution of the overall release plan
- Facilitate Release Readiness Reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go decisions
- Lead and coordinate the global Release Management community to ensure consistent practices and synchronized execution across projects and regions
Your skills and experience:
- Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in release management, portfolio delivery, or large‑scale product lifecycle coordination within a global technology environment
- Experience in fire safety, building technologies, or related systems is a strong plus
- Consistent track record in environments with high regulatory, compliance, and quality requirements
- Solid understanding of product lifecycle processes, lean‑agile delivery models, and release governance; good grasp of DevOps and software delivery excellence
- Certifications in Agile (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) or Project Management are an advantage
- Validated leadership experience managing global teams and aligning cross‑functional stakeholders
- Strong ability to manage cross‑regional and cross‑product dependencies at portfolio level
- Proficiency with collaboration and lifecycle tools (e.g. Confluence, IBM JAZZ, Microsoft 365); interest in AI technologies is welcome
- Analytical mindset with experience in KPI‑based performance monitoring and risk management
- Full proficiency in English communication skills. German is a plus
