Head of Procurement 100% (m/f/d)
In this key position, you take responsibility for the group-wide procurement orientation. You connect strategic purchasing with operational implementation, create transparency, and develop efficient and future-oriented procurement solutions together with our international teams.
Your impact:
- Shape global purchasing strategy: Develop and implement a pragmatic procurement strategy with efficient processes, clear standards, and high transparency. Prepare sourcing decisions, for projects and production
- Increase cost-effectiveness: Identify saving potentials, optimise procurement costs, and sustainably strengthen WEYTEC's competitiveness
- Strengthen supplier partnerships: Conduct strategic negotiations, further develop the international supplier portfolio, and ensure quality and supply security
- Drive innovations: Accompany technical development projects from the start and actively participate in defining target costs and their tracking. Participate in the evaluation of development milestones
- Create transparency: Structure the purchasing portfolio, analyse purchasing volumes, contracts, supplier performance, and risks, and implement targeted improvements
- Lead and develop teams: Take responsibility for the two-person purchasing team in Unterengstringen and contribute professionally to building regional procurement staff worldwide
- Collaborate across departments: Translate strategic goals into effective solutions together with development, quality, operations, and supply chain
Your profile:
- A degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in strategic and technical purchasing, ideally in an international industrial or technology company
- Sound knowledge in sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, cost analysis, and procurement for development projects
- Experience with structuring purchasing portfolios, costed BOM, design-to-cost analyses, and make-or-buy decision processes
- Leadership experience and enthusiasm for developing teams, taking responsibility, and hands-on operational involvement
- Entrepreneurial thinking, analytical strength, and a solution-oriented, pragmatic working style
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and enjoyment in collaborating with international teams and various departments
- Fluent German and English negotiation skills
