Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
The Social Paediatric Centre (SPZ) at the Cantonal Hospital Winterthur diagnoses and treats over
4,500 children and adolescents annually in an outpatient clinic with the following specialisations: child and adolescent psychiatry
and psychosomatics, developmental paediatrics, paediatric neurology, special education, school medical service. In addition, the SPZ operates a therapy ward where children and adolescents with a wide range of psychosomatic and psychiatric disorders are treated as inpatients.
We are looking for a senior physician in the outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry and psychosomatics department. The position is currently limited until 30.09.2027, with an extension under consideration.
About Us
Your Responsibilities
- You assess and treat children and adolescents referred by general practitioners and paediatricians
- You diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of child and adolescent psychiatric disorders, especially ADHD, ASD, psychosomatic disorders, trauma-related disorders, as well as emotional and behavioural disorders
- You engage in the hospital's internal consultation and liaison service
- You participate in the on-call service

- You are a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy or are in advanced specialist training
- You value interdisciplinary exchange and enjoy working in a multiprofessional team
- You demonstrate team spirit and high social competence
- You communicate clearly and appreciatively
- You work in a structured manner, are resilient, and adapt flexibly to different situations
