Role:
Do you want to make the development of complex embedded software more efficient and integrate modern automation directly into hardware-near development processes? In this role, you will develop powerful build and deployment pipelines, optimise development workflows, and lay the foundation for reproducible, reliable software releases in the C++ environment.
Responsibilities:
Design and further development of automated CI/CD pipelines for embedded software based on C++
Establishment and optimisation of automated build processes for different target platforms and toolchains
Integration of container technologies such as Docker to standardise development and build environments
Automation of software tests, code analyses, and quality checks within the build pipelines
Further development of release processes for embedded applications and hardware-near software components
Optimisation of build times, dependencies, and reproducible build results
Integration of tools for static code analysis, test automation, and software quality management
Building robust development environments for cross-compilation and platform-specific builds
Collaboration with software developers to improve development standards and engineering workflows
Analysis and resolution of complex errors in build systems, toolchains, and automated pipelines
Qualifications:
Experience in building or further developing CI/CD pipelines
Good knowledge of C++ software development processes, ideally in the embedded environment
Experience with build systems such as CMake, Ninja, Make, or comparable technologies
Practical knowledge of Docker and containerised development environments
Experience with version control and automated workflows, for example with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
Knowledge of Python, Bash, or comparable scripting languages for automating technical processes
Understanding of cross-compilation, compiler toolchains, and platform-dependent build processes
Analytical mindset and enjoyment in making complex technical processes more efficient
