In this context, we are looking for an experienced, unifying and hands-on personality, ready to take on the role of:

Head of the Caretaking, Technical and Maintenance Department (80-100%)

Leading a multidisciplinary team of about twenty collaborators active in caretaking, caretaking services and technical fields, your mission is to create a genuine collective dynamic among professionals with varied skills, backgrounds and levels of autonomy. Your management style is primarily situational; you know how to empower and grant autonomy when possible, while providing a structured framework, clear guidelines and close support when the situation requires it. You promote the flow of information, mutual assistance and skills sharing so that everyone can fully contribute to the success of the department.

On a daily basis, you ensure the maintenance, functionality and cleanliness of municipal buildings as well as their compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, particularly regarding fire safety. You oversee the work carried out on municipal assets and ensure compliance with costs, deadlines and quality standards. You also plan interventions by external service providers, analyse offers, negotiate services and manage the administrative, technical and financial follow-up of assigned contracts.

Both a manager and an administrator, you prepare and monitor the department’s budgets rigorously, identify operational needs and provide regular reporting to your hierarchy. You also assume responsibility for occupational health and safety (OHS) for your teams and contribute to the logistical and technical organisation of municipal events.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

• A higher education qualification at ES, HES level or federal certificate, ideally in building technology, facility management, property operations or infrastructure management
• Solid experience in team leadership and contractor management, complemented by management training
• Expertise in the construction or real estate sector is an asset
• Excellent ability to prepare and manage budgets and to simultaneously handle multiple projects and priorities
• Excellent writing skills in French as well as good command of MS Office tools
