The Information Communication Technology (ICT) department of the St.Gallen Cantonal Police is the heart of our digital infrastructure. With around 24 motivated employees, we are responsible for the entire lifecycle of ICT services – from planning and implementation to operation and continuous optimization. We work in self-organized teams to ensure smooth operation and develop innovative solutions.

ICT Service Manager (m/f/d)

What to expect

As an ICT Service Manager, you are the central contact person for our ICT services and ensure that everything runs smoothly. You take responsibility for optimizing our services considering SLA requirements and user satisfaction.

Your tasks in detail

• You ensure that our ICT services function optimally and are continuously improved
• In the area of lifecycle management and the introduction of new ICT services, you lead exciting projects and initiatives
• Through your active participation in projects, national committees, and working groups, you contribute valuable expertise
• You understand the needs of our clients and develop innovative solution proposals
• Systems are planned, evaluated, migrated, developed/implemented, configured, and tested by you, as well as transferred to productive operation
• You implement service/operation management processes and ensure stable service operation
• You analyze disruptions, errors, and problems and initiate measures to resolve them

What distinguishes you

• You have completed a higher technical college/university of applied sciences education in the IT field or a comparable education with professional experience
• Ideally, you already have knowledge of ITIL and HERMES
• You enjoy working with people, like working in a team, and are a communication talent
• You are an independent, solution-oriented, and implementation-strong personality
• You are characterized by a structured, goal- and result-oriented way of working
• You are willing to perform on-call duty (approx. 3-4 weeks per year)
