Your responsibility :

• You process reports under the direction of public prosecutors in the area of speeding offences, the Regulatory Offences Act and judicial prohibitions.
• In doing so, you maintain written and oral contact with the parties involved in the proceedings, their lawyers, and members of other authorities, especially the police.
• You prepare the final decisions in your cases (penalty orders, dismissal orders and non-prosecution).
• You perform regular telephone duty.

Your background :

• You have completed commercial training.
• Foreign language skills (especially French, Italian or English) in spoken and written form are desirable.
• You work efficiently, are well organised and can handle a large number of files.
• You are interested in the varied subject matter and the fundamental procedures of criminal proceedings.

Public Prosecutor's Office

The Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft prosecutes offences committed by adults aged 18 and over. It manages all procedural steps, investigates offences and requests the imposition of coercive measures such as pre-trial detention or telephone monitoring if necessary for clarification. For minor to medium offences, the Public Prosecutor's Office sanctions these directly by issuing penalty orders. For serious offences, it brings and represents the charges in court.
