Embedded Linux Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks:

As an Embedded Linux Software Engineer, you will develop the next generation of connected solutions for passenger information and train communication with us. You will work on audio amplifiers, passenger intercoms, control devices, and train radio systems, where digital audio transmission, DSP-based voice optimisation, Ethernet communication, and cyber security come together to form a reliable overall solution. Through your work, you contribute to ensuring that our customers receive customised, secure, and reliable solutions.

• You develop and design new software components for our embedded Linux platforms.
• You create technical specifications and participate in defining software architectures.
• You design and implement CI/CD pipelines as well as automated build and test processes.
• You review and implement cyber security measures for our products and systems.
• You support projects with technical clarifications, solution finding, and effort estimation.
• You work closely with hardware development, product management, and other internal as well as external project stakeholders.

Your Profile

• A degree from a technical college, university of applied sciences, or university in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable field.
• Experience in embedded software development under Linux.
• Very good programming skills in C++.
• Experience with modern development tools and processes such as Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automating build and test processes - knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, UDP, VLAN, and routing.
• Initiative, teamwork skills, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and subject areas.
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
