Plant and Equipment Builder – Welding Supervision
Activities
- Responsibility for planning, execution, and monitoring of simple welded constructions according to DIN EN ISO 14731.
- Checking technical feasibility and accompanying the manufacturing process.
- Qualification and verification of welders and operators.
- Ensuring the functionality of equipment, facilities, and occupational safety.
- Participation in production planning considering quality and efficiency.
- Creation and control of welding procedures, work instructions, and welding drawings.
- Definition, procurement, and storage of suitable welding consumables.
- Monitoring the welding process as well as preparing reports and protocols.
- Documentation of non-conformities and implementation of corrective measures.
- Ensuring traceability of welded components.
- Support for design, production planning, sales, and purchasing in welding-related questions.
- Active participation in continuous improvement processes (CIP).
Requirements
- Completed technical training in metalworking (equipment builder, polymechanic, or similar).
- Additional qualification as welding technician (WT) preferred, at least welding specialist (WS).
- Experience in welding rail vehicles according to EN 15085 is an advantage; knowledge in aluminum and sheet metal production desirable.
- Confident handling of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Fluent German skills; English skills are an advantage.
- Independent, proactive, and reliable working style with high initiative.
