Lead System Engineer | Infrastructure & People ? (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
You will technically shape the IT infrastructure and take responsibility for Microsoft infrastructures, virtualisation, storage, backup as well as workplace and VDI environments – from design and operation to further development.
Within the engineering team, you combine technology with leadership: you coordinate tasks, support engineers with technical and organisational matters, and accompany them in their development.
You systematically analyse complex disruptions and lead them to a sustainable solution. At the same time, you plan and implement infrastructure changes and technical projects.
You contribute your experience to architecture, lifecycle and technology decisions and further develop technical standards, solutions and documentation.
As a connecting element in engineering, you work closely with support, customers, internal stakeholders and external partners.
Qualifications:
You have several years of experience as a system engineer in complex IT environments and are familiar with both design and operation as well as troubleshooting of demanding infrastructures.
Your expertise covers several infrastructure disciplines, especially Microsoft Server and Cloud, virtualisation, storage, backup, workplace and VDI. You have in-depth expertise in at least one of these areas.
Technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and VMware are familiar to you from practice; knowledge of Citrix and virtual workplace environments is an advantage. You also understand the interplay with network and security basics.
You combine experience in leading, coordinating or technically developing employees with an independent, structured and quality-oriented working style. What matters is not specialist knowledge in every area, but broad technical understanding and willingness to take responsibility.
You communicate confidently with different stakeholders. You have a very good command of Swiss German and German, complemented by good English and/or French skills.
