Senior Operational Support Scientist

We have the ideal position for you:

You will work in the Value Stream Packaging area and take on the role of Senior Operational Support Scientist mainly for the high-speed packaging line, which holds a central and strategic position at the Bern site. In this role, you support the production team and processes with a strong focus on safety, quality, and market supply.

Your main responsibilities include:

• You support and have a significant influence on compliance with the highest product quality standards according to the principles "Right First Time," "Continuous Improvement," and "Continuous Inspection Readiness"

• You lead the change control process in the packaging area and are responsible for the timely release of batch records.

• You lead projects for continuous improvement within the value stream or execute them independently.

• You ensure that procedures, processes, and regulations always comply with current valid regulations (cGMP). You play a central and leading role in handling deviations/PTCs/CAPAs as well as in the creation and revision of SOPs and manufacturing instructions.

• You support the management team with operational tasks within the value stream (mainly at the high-speed line) and compile and analyze data profitably for this purpose.

• You are part of the Value Stream Leadership Team and have the potential to develop into the role of Deputy Head of High-Speed Packaging.

• You support the Senior Director, Head of Value Stream Visual Inspection & Packaging in clarifications and implementations of operational projects and the packaging master plan.

You bring the following qualifications and professional experience:

• You have a completed degree in pharmaceutical engineering, packaging technology or a comparable technical or scientific education

• You bring at least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in packaging/finishing in the pharmaceutical sector or in food production

• Ability to handle/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain an overview in hectic situations

• Team player who communicates clearly and openly and understands how to maintain relationships with stakeholders and manage their needs

• Fluent German and English skills (spoken and written) complete your profile

• Willingness for occasional on-call duty (remote, about once every two months)
