Join us in our commitment to the vision of a solidaristic society, as Head of Asylum Centre 100% (m/f/d) Caritas Switzerland has been operating asylum centres for families, individuals and unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UMAS) at several locations in the canton of Zurich on behalf of the cantonal social office (KSA) since March 2024. Due to a replacement, we are looking for a committed and responsible centre manager for a UMAS centre. Your tasks
- Implementation of the service mandate of the Cantonal Social Office Zurich (KSA) based on the individual contract of the location and framework contract for UMAS residential groups as well as other regulations
- Responsibility for the accommodation, care, integration and safety of the unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UMAS)
- Overall responsibility for personnel planning, personnel management and personnel development
- Financial responsibility for budgets and cost centres as well as for administrative processes and economical use of resources
- Responsibility for the quality of care, contract execution and documentation as well as for the implementation of work processes and structural adjustments
- Responsibility for the appropriate communication of information and ensuring internal and external communication
- Cooperation with the canton, guardianship authorities and other partnerships, central specialist department management and other UMAS locations
- University or university of applied sciences degree in social sciences / business administration or comparable
- Further training in business administration and management of NPOs
- Several years of social pedagogical work experience in the care of UMAS as well as expertise in the asylum and migration sector
- Proven personnel management experience
- Experience in cooperation with authorities and partnerships
- Initiative, independence, assertiveness and decisiveness
- High resilience and ability to cope with pressure
- Entrepreneurial and networked thinking and acting
- Strong communication skills and very good knowledge of German
- Intercultural competences
- Conflict intervention skills
