canton of Schaffhausen. More than 450 children and adolescents with physical and/or cognitive disabilities, with speech, hearing, or other profound developmental impairments are currently being educated and supported integratively in the regular schools of the canton or separately at three locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various therapy offerings, we run a supplementary school area with lunch, daily structure, and boarding. Over 500 employees are engaged in various functions at the SCHAFFHAUSEN SPECIAL SCHOOLS.
For the school year 2025/26, we are looking for our integrative special education
a speech therapist
with a workload of 25-60%
You will treat students who are educated as integrative special students in regular schools in the canton
of Schaffhausen and work constructively and goal-oriented with others involved in the education of the respective integratively educated child or adolescent (teachers, special educators, and support staff) as well as the parents
Your specific tasks include planning, conducting, and evaluating therapy lessons. You will primarily work in individual situations. Writing reports is also part of your responsibilities.
The extent of employment depends on the needs of the integrative special students in the various school buildings and the number of children and adolescents taken on.
Individuals qualified as speech therapists with foreign diplomas can be employed on a temporary basis until they obtain EDK recognition. An EDK-recognized speech therapy training is a prerequisite for a permanent position in the canton of Schaffhausen.
