About the job
CONTACT, Foundation for Addiction Support, offers services in the field of harm reduction. Its aim is to reduce the risks and negative consequences of substance use for those affected and society. CONTACT is guided by the four-pillar model of Swiss addiction policy.
From 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a
Residential Support Worker, 80% (Fixed-term contract for one year)
CONTACT Housing supports people with substance use problems and psychosocial difficulties through residential support in independent living. The goal is to create the foundations for stabilising the personal, social and health situation of residents through housing with support, and to maintain and promote independent living skills. The focus is on a responsible and autonomous way of life. We are looking for a new residential support worker for our team in Schönbühl.
Your tasks are:
- Regular home visits to clients
- Advice, support and assistance in daily living and individual matters
- Systemic networking with referring agencies as well as relevant institutions and contacts
- Administrative tasks such as file and journal management, correspondence and writing short reports
- Acting as a liaison and communication point between clients, property management and neighbours
- Working independently within a committed and motivated team
You bring with you:
- Completed training in social work BSc, social pedagogy diploma/BSc or nursing professional with additional psychiatric training
- High professional and social competence
- Experience with diverse counselling and motivational methods
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Driving licence category B
