The University of Teacher Education Valais is a bilingual university responsible for the professional training of teachers at all levels of compulsory and post-compulsory education. Within the scope of its training mandate, PH-Valais conducts research and development activities and provides services for the benefit of the school and education system.
To better support the institution's tasks and accompany the further development of its organisation, we are advertising the following position:
Head of Administration (80 to 100%)
Your role
As part of the Central Services, you lead and develop the administration department, a cross-departmental unit for administrative services and expertise available to the entire PH-VS. You organise and mobilise its resources to meet the needs of the various institutional units, in the spirit of a collaborative partnership with the specialist departments. You ensure the quality and continuity of services, support the staff of the department, and contribute to the improvement and transformation of administrative workflows and processes. The department also provides administrative services to support the Directorate.Your main tasks Leadership, organisation and further development of the administration department and its services. Leading the staff, developing their skills, and organising the deployment of resources. Supporting the various institutional units in managing their administrative tasks. Ensuring the provision of administrative services required to support the Directorate. Contributing to the simplification, harmonisation and transformation of administrative workflows and processes. Your profile
- Relevant higher education in administration, business management, or an equivalent qualification; additional management training is an advantage.
- Proven experience in leading or coordinating complex administrative tasks as well as in team leadership.
- Ability to organise and mobilise resources in a cross-departmental and changing environment.
- Excellent command of office and digital tools; interest in improving and digitising processes.
- Local roots and bilingualism: perfect command of French or German as well as excellent knowledge of the other language, both spoken and written. English is an advantage.
- Leadership, structuring and prioritising skills, service orientation, willingness to cooperate and embrace change, reliability and discretion.
