Social Worker FH

With an employment level of 80%, you will work in three day clinics: the Psychiatric Day Clinic Romanshorn, the Geriatric Day Clinic Romanshorn and the Geriatric Day Clinic Weinfelden. As a social worker, you are a valuable addition to the treatment teams, consisting of doctors, psychologists, nursing specialists and specialist therapists. An varied, exciting and meaningful activity awaits you.

You will take on

• Assessment of the current social situation of the patients and definition of social problem areas in cooperation with the multiprofessional team and those affected
• Advice and support for patients and their relatives on work, finance and housing issues as well as social security matters
• Maintaining contacts with authorities and follow-up institutions
• Participation in discharge management and organisation of further care and/or new forms of housing
• Participation in multiprofessional reports, team meetings and supervisions
• Coordination of social work tasks involving the entire patient environment and the multiprofessional team

You bring with you

• Completed degree in Social Work FH
• For degrees obtained abroad: recognition of professional qualification in Switzerland or willingness to obtain it
• Flexibility, independence, resilience and ability to work in a team
• Professional experience in psychiatric or medical context is an advantage
• Good knowledge of the Swiss social system
• Basic understanding, empathy and communication skills in dealing with mentally ill people
