Purpose of the Role
The Head of Finance, Services & Operations Germany is responsible for the commercial management as well as the efficient operational alignment of the company. The role combines finance excellence with service and operations management and significantly contributes to the scaling, profitability, and regulatory-compliant further development of the company.
The position reports directly to the Managing Director Germany and works closely with the departments of Sales, Quality Management, Supply Chain, and Customer Service. Additionally, the role is closely connected with the regional finance team and reports functionally to the Regional Finance Officer EMEA.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Professional and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of multidisciplinary teams and managers (areas: Controlling, Legal/Compliance/Quality Management, Customer Service, Logistics, Customer and Internal Services & Purchasing)
- Leadership and personnel responsibility for 120 employees, including 10 direct reports
- Promotion of a performance-, customer- and data-oriented corporate culture
- Coaching and development of talents within the organisation
- Management of cross-departmental projects and transformation initiatives
Finance & Controlling
- Responsibility for overall financial management including strategic planning, performance management, and sustainable profit optimisation
- Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Management of controlling including KPI management and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Identification and implementation of efficiency and cost reduction potentials
- Preparation and presentation of financial reports for management and corporate stakeholders
- Advising management on financial decisions and strategic initiatives
- Commercial management of price adjustments and pricing strategies
- Operational responsibility for sales incentives and bonus determination
Services Management
- Leadership and further development of the service organisation (Customer Service, Consulting and Order Service, Warranty Service)
- Ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction
- Development of scalable service processes and SLA structures
- Monitoring of relevant service KPIs
Operations
- Responsibility for operational performance along the value chain
- Optimisation of supply chain, logistics, and core operational processes
- Implementation of lean management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Management of transformation and digitalisation projects
- Ensuring regulatory and quality requirements
Internal Services
- Responsibility and management of internal services such as travel and fleet management, reception
- Active role in negotiations with the works council
- Participation in company-wide strategic projects and initiatives such as SAP S/4 HANA implementation
- Responsibility for ESG initiatives and activities
Profile
- Completed studies in business administration, industrial engineering, finance or comparable
- Several years of leadership experience in finance and/or operations & services
- Experience in the medical technology, dental or regulated industry is an advantage
- Very good knowledge in controlling, reporting and process management
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience in project and change management
